Created in 1992 by the State Bar of Texas, the Pro Bono College recognizes those attorneys who have far exceeded the State Bar's aspirational pro bono goal in their efforts to address the vast unmet legal needs of the poor by providing a significant number of hours of eligible pro bono service during the previous year.
Olaide Banks is a regular contributor to the NAACP's legal redress clinics. The NAACP's legal redress clinic provides free legal advice to members of the community regardless of race, religion or nationality and provides additional services who to indigent members of the community. Olaide Banks has also authored articles on predatory lending, and given community presentations on the topic.
Both Patrick Ngwolo and Olaide Banks take multiple cases to trial each year for clients who qualify for pro bono or significantly reduced fees.
